Umwelt, DogSight and CatSight · Mosaic Paradigm LLC · Version 1.0 · Effective 6 August 2026
Umwelt, DogSight and CatSight (the “Apps”) are published by Mosaic Paradigm LLC (“Mosaic Paradigm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
The Apps are designed to process live camera frames, photos you select, saved toy and pet-reference images, notes, settings, analysis results, and related app information locally on your device. Mosaic Paradigm does not operate an app backend that receives this content.
This policy explains what the Apps process, what Mosaic Paradigm may receive through support communications and Apple’s developer services, and the limits of our control over your device, Apple services, backups, networks, and service providers.
Depending on the features you use, the Apps may process the following information locally on your device:
The Apps are not designed to transmit this locally processed information to Mosaic Paradigm. Local information remains subject to your device configuration, operating-system behavior, backups, transfers, and actions you initiate.
The Apps use your camera to display a live pet-vision simulation and to analyze objects or scenes in front of the device. Camera frames are processed transiently on your device.
The Apps are not designed to save the live camera feed to persistent app storage or transmit camera frames to Mosaic Paradigm. Apple operating-system components may temporarily buffer or otherwise process camera information as part of providing camera functionality. Those processes are controlled by Apple and the operating system rather than by Mosaic Paradigm.
You can revoke camera permission at any time through iOS Settings. Features that depend on the camera will not function without camera access.
The Apps may read your device’s motion sensors, such as the gyroscope, to tell how the iPhone itself is moving. This is used to distinguish movement of the phone from movement of an object in front of it, so that a reading is not confused by panning or tilting the camera.
Motion readings are used transiently on your device while a camera feature is running. The Apps are not designed to store motion readings in persistent app storage, to use them to determine your location, or to transmit them to Mosaic Paradigm.
You may choose an existing photo through Apple’s system photo picker. The Apps are designed to request access only to the photo or photos you select rather than broad, continuing access to your photo library.
If a selected photo is stored in iCloud Photos or another Apple-managed location, Apple may retrieve or process it according to your device settings and Apple’s practices.
Selected photos are analyzed locally on your device and are not designed to be transmitted to Mosaic Paradigm. The Apps may read information needed to load, orient, crop, or correctly display a selected image. The Apps do not intentionally use embedded location information or other photo metadata for advertising, tracking, or profiling.
Unless you deliberately save a cropped image or other supported item through an App feature, the Apps are not designed to retain the original imported photo in persistent app storage after it is no longer needed for the selected operation. Temporary files, thumbnails, or cached data may nevertheless be created or managed by iOS and Apple frameworks.
The Apps may use Apple-provided on-device frameworks and model assets, including computer-vision or machine-learning capabilities, to analyze images, compare objects, generate scores, and produce recommendations or descriptions.
For the features described in this policy, the Apps are designed to perform model inputs and outputs on the device. They are not designed to send your photos, camera frames, prompts, analysis inputs, or analysis outputs to Mosaic Paradigm, Private Cloud Compute, an external AI provider, or a developer-operated server.
Apple may independently provide, update, or download operating-system components, model assets, language resources, or other software needed for Apple features. Apple may also process diagnostics or usage information when enabled through your Apple settings. Mosaic Paradigm does not control Apple’s collection, retention, security, or use of information processed through Apple services.
Where an App uses an Apple-provided on-device language model, inputs and outputs are designed to remain on the device. Depending on the feature, the model may receive locally derived information or selected image content needed to perform the requested analysis. Mosaic Paradigm does not receive those inputs or outputs.
Mosaic Paradigm does not use your locally processed content or analysis results to train Mosaic Paradigm models or build advertising profiles.
When you choose to save a toy or another supported item, the App stores the cropped image, information you enter, and associated locally generated analysis results in the App’s local storage on your device. This information is used to display, compare, review, and manage your saved content.
Depending on the App’s implementation, your device configuration, and Apple’s backup behavior, some local information may be eligible for an iCloud or computer backup. Where an App marks a file as excluded from backup, that setting is a request to the operating system rather than a guarantee that no copy can ever appear in a backup, transfer, cache, restored device, or other system-managed location.
You can delete supported saved items through the App. Deletion removes the active copy controlled by the App, but copies may remain temporarily in system-managed storage or in backups, exports, screenshots, shared files, or other copies created outside the App.
Photos may incidentally contain people, documents, addresses, screens, location clues, or other information unrelated to your pet or toy. Review what appears in a photo before selecting or saving it, and do not use the Apps to store information that you do not want retained on your device.
The Apps are not intended to identify people or create biometric identity profiles. Image-analysis frameworks may nevertheless detect or describe visible features when they are present in an image.
Settings and preferences are stored using standard Apple app-storage interfaces on your device. Depending on the type of storage and your device configuration, some settings may be included in device backups or device transfers controlled by Apple.
A small allowance or usage counter may be stored in the device keychain. It contains only allowance-related state and is not used to identify you, contact you, advertise to you, or track you across unrelated apps, websites, or services. The counter is configured as device-only and is not intended to sync through iCloud Keychain. It may remain on a device after an App is removed so that deleting and reinstalling the App does not necessarily reset an included allowance. Operating-system behavior may change, and we do not guarantee that a keychain item will always persist or always be recoverable.
The Apps use Apple system-storage interfaces only for local app functionality, saved content, preferences, allowances, and purchase entitlements. The Apps are not designed to exchange user-created content or local activity with one another. This statement assumes the Apps are installed and configured as distributed by Mosaic Paradigm and that the device has not been modified in a way that changes normal iOS security or storage behavior.
Your device may include app settings and other eligible local information in an iCloud or computer backup, depending on your settings, the App’s storage configuration, and Apple’s backup behavior. Backups are created and controlled by Apple and by you. Mosaic Paradigm cannot inspect, retrieve, alter, or delete your device backups.
Deleting an App ordinarily removes its active app container from that device. Deleting an App may not remove:
Offloading an App rather than deleting it may preserve its documents and data.
Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment-card number, bank-account information, Apple Account password, or other payment-method details.
The App may receive signed transaction and entitlement information from Apple on your device so that it can determine which features you purchased and whether a subscription or entitlement is active. The Apps are not designed to transmit this transaction information to a Mosaic Paradigm backend.
Apple manages payment processing, billing, renewal, cancellation, purchase restoration, and refunds under Apple’s terms and privacy practices.
Apple may separately provide Mosaic Paradigm with App Store Connect information such as sales, proceeds, subscription performance, installations, usage metrics, crash reports, and diagnostic information. Some analytics and diagnostic information may be available only when users enable the applicable sharing settings. Reports provided to us generally do not include your payment-method details or the locally saved content described in this policy.
If you contact us by email or another support channel, we receive your contact information and whatever information you choose to include. We may use support communications to:
Do not send passwords, payment-card information, government identification numbers, medical records, or other highly sensitive information in a support message.
Our email and infrastructure providers process support communications on our behalf and may store information in the United States or other locations where they operate. Their systems may create security, delivery, spam-filtering, and backup records.
We generally retain support communications only for as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or legitimate recordkeeping. Retention may vary with the nature of the communication, and deletion from active systems may not immediately remove copies from provider backups or security logs.
If you visit a Mosaic Paradigm website displaying this policy, our hosting and infrastructure provider, currently Cloudflare, may automatically process basic technical information needed to deliver and protect the site. This may include an IP address, date and time, requested page, browser or device information, and security or error logs.
The website associated with this policy sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics scripts, and has no web forms as of the effective date of this policy. Mosaic Paradigm does not use hosting information for cross-site behavioral advertising. The provider may retain technical logs according to its systems, terms, and legal obligations.
Any cookies, analytics, contact forms, embedded content, or additional website technologies not described here will be disclosed before or when they are introduced, as required by applicable law.
We may allow service providers to process limited information on our behalf when reasonably necessary to operate our website, email, support, legal, accounting, security, or business functions. They may process the information only for the services they provide, subject to applicable agreements and law.
We may preserve or disclose information when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
Where required, we will provide notice or impose appropriate restrictions on a successor’s use of personal information.
Mosaic Paradigm does not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, use your locally processed App content for targeted advertising, or permit third-party advertising or tracking SDKs in the Apps.
We do not use support communications or website information for behavioral advertising, and we do not sell that information to data brokers.
The Apps’ local-processing design is intended to limit the information transmitted to Mosaic Paradigm. However, no device, operating system, storage method, backup, email system, network transmission, or service provider can be guaranteed to be completely secure, error-free, or continuously available.
We do not control your device, Apple’s services, your network, your backups, third-party applications, or information you choose to export or share. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate device security, software updates, passcodes, backup settings, and control over copies you create.
Nothing in this policy limits rights or obligations that cannot lawfully be limited.
You can:
Because Mosaic Paradigm does not receive your local app content, we generally cannot view, retrieve, correct, export, or delete that content on your behalf.
The Apps are intended for a general audience of pet owners. They are not designed or marketed primarily to children under 13 and are not intended to collect personal information online from children through the Apps.
The Apps are designed not to transmit camera frames, selected photos, saved content, notes, analysis results, or advertising identifiers to Mosaic Paradigm. An App Store age rating describes content suitability and parental-control treatment; it does not by itself determine whether an app is directed to children under applicable privacy law.
A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use of camera, photo-selection, purchase, export, or sharing features.
If we learn that a support communication contains personal information provided directly by a child under 13, we will use the information only as permitted to respond to the request or protect safety and security, and will delete it promptly when it is no longer legally permitted or reasonably necessary to retain it. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us personal information may contact us using the address below.
Mosaic Paradigm LLC is the controller of the limited personal information that Mosaic Paradigm receives directly, such as support communications and website information under our control.
Depending on the circumstances, we process this information to respond to your request, provide and secure our services, comply with law, and pursue our legitimate interests in operating, supporting, and protecting our business.
Information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws different from the laws where you live. Where applicable law requires particular safeguards for an international transfer, we will use legally recognized safeguards appropriate to the processing.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights concerning information under our control. These may include access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection to certain processing, and the right to complain to a privacy or data-protection authority. These rights are subject to legal exceptions and verification requirements.
Because the Apps do not send us your local content and do not maintain user accounts, we may not possess information that allows us to identify a particular App user or fulfill a request concerning information that remains solely on the user’s device.
To submit a privacy request, contact us using the email address below.
We may revise this policy to reflect changes in the Apps, Apple services, our providers, legal requirements, or our business practices. Each version will display a version number and effective date.
We may provide an in-app, App Store, website, or other notice when we determine that a change is material or when additional notice or consent is required by applicable law. A policy update does not retroactively authorize materially different processing where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
